It’s one of the first questions we hear: “Do I need simPRO to use Sprigr Team?” The short answer is no. simPRO is one of 14+ integrations that Sprigr Team supports. If your business runs on different tools – or even just email and a calendar – you can still get the full benefit of autonomous AI agents.
This post breaks down everything Sprigr Team connects to, the most common non-simPRO setups we see, and how to get started regardless of your tech stack.
simPRO is one integration, not a requirement
simPRO gets a lot of attention in our documentation because trade businesses were among our earliest adopters, and simPRO is the dominant job management platform in that space. But Sprigr Team was built as a general-purpose AI agent platform from day one. The simPRO integration is simply one connector among many.
If you don’t use simPRO – or don’t even work in the trades – that’s completely fine. Sprigr Team agents are configured through plain-English instructions and connect to whatever systems your business actually relies on.
What does Sprigr Team connect to?
Here’s the full list of supported integrations:
- Xero – invoicing, billing, expense tracking, and financial reporting
- Gmail – reading, composing, and responding to emails automatically
- Google Sheets – reading, writing, and updating spreadsheet data
- Google Calendar – scheduling, availability checks, and appointment management
- Outlook – email and calendar for Microsoft-based teams
- Slack – internal notifications, team updates, and conversational triggers
- WhatsApp – customer messaging and automated responses
- Telegram – customer and team messaging
- GitHub – issue management, PR notifications, and development workflows
- Gorgias – customer support ticket management for e-commerce
- simPRO – job management for trade businesses
- AWS – cloud infrastructure actions and monitoring
- GCP – Google Cloud Platform services and automation
- Webhooks & HTTP requests – connect to any system with an API
That last point is important. If your business uses a tool that isn’t on this list but has an API or accepts webhooks, Sprigr Team can almost certainly connect to it. The webhook and HTTP integration is a universal adapter.
Common non-simPRO setups
Most businesses that use Sprigr Team without simPRO fall into one of these patterns:
Email and calendar only
This is the simplest setup and surprisingly powerful. Connect Gmail (or Outlook) and Google Calendar, and your AI agent can handle incoming enquiries, schedule appointments, send confirmations, and follow up with customers – all without any job management platform at all. It’s ideal for consultants, small service businesses, and solo operators who manage everything through their inbox.
Xero and email
If your business revolves around invoicing and customer communication, this combination covers a lot of ground. The AI agent reads incoming emails, creates or updates invoices in Xero, sends payment reminders, and follows up on overdue accounts. Bookkeepers, accountants, and freelancers find this setup handles the bulk of their repetitive admin.
Google Sheets and Gmail
Many businesses track leads, orders, or project data in Google Sheets. With this setup, the AI agent reads incoming emails, extracts relevant data, updates your spreadsheet, and responds to the sender. It turns a manual data-entry workflow into something fully automatic. No database or CRM required – just the spreadsheet you already maintain.
Gorgias for customer support
E-commerce businesses using Gorgias for support tickets can connect Sprigr Team to automate first-response triage, route tickets to the right team, draft responses based on order data, and escalate complex issues. The agent works inside your existing support queue rather than replacing it.
GitHub for development teams
Software teams use Sprigr Team to automate issue triage, notify the right people when PRs are opened, summarise long threads, and keep project boards updated. Combined with Slack, it creates an AI-powered development operations layer that keeps everyone informed without the constant context-switching.

If your business runs on a platform not listed above – a custom CRM, an industry-specific tool, or an internal system – the webhook and HTTP integration handles it. Any system that can send or receive HTTP requests can work with Sprigr Team.
This means the agent can:
- Receive events from your system via incoming webhooks (e.g., “new order created”)
- Push data to your system via outgoing HTTP requests (e.g., update a record, trigger a workflow)
- Poll APIs on a schedule to check for changes
You don’t need to write code to set this up. The agent configuration is done in plain English, and the HTTP details (endpoints, headers, authentication) are configured through the dashboard.
When does simPRO make sense?
simPRO is the right choice if your business is a trade or field-service company that already uses simPRO for job management, technician scheduling, and quoting. In that case, the deep simPRO integration lets Sprigr Team agents create jobs, assign technicians, generate quotes, close out work orders, and handle customer communication – all tied directly to your simPRO data.
But if you don’t operate in the trades, or you use a different job management system, there’s no reason to adopt simPRO just to use Sprigr Team. Pick the integrations that match your actual workflow.
Getting started without simPRO
Setting up Sprigr Team without simPRO follows the same process as any other configuration:
- Choose your integrations. Connect the tools your business already uses – email, calendar, accounting, messaging, or custom APIs.
- Define your agent’s job. Describe what it should do in plain English: “Read incoming emails, check my calendar for availability, and reply with booking options.”
- Set guardrails. Specify what the agent can and can’t do, which contacts it can message, and what actions require human approval.
- Launch and monitor. Every action is logged in a full audit trail. Review, adjust, and expand as you build confidence.
Most teams start with one or two integrations and add more over time. There’s no minimum requirement and no pressure to connect everything at once.
